The Heartwood hard fork on block 903 000 is activated in the zcash anonymous cryptocurrency blockchain. The update will ensure the confidentiality of mining.
Heartwood is the fourth update in the Zcash network after the appearance of this cryptocurrency in 2016. Heartwood was activated with the support of the Zcash Foundation and Electric Coin Company (ECC), which support the development of the zcash cryptocurrency. The update contains two suggestions for improving Zcash (ZIP): “”Shielded Coinbase”” (ZIP 213), which provides anonymous mining of Zcash, and “”Flyclient”” with support for easy clients to confirm transactions. The hard fork is not backward compatible. This means that all nodes must update their software to successfully sync with the new Zcash blockchain.

Users will soon be able to connect to the Zcash network using an alternative Zebra client that is compatible with the zcash consensus and developed by the Zcash Foundation,”” said Josh Cincinnati, Executive Director of the Zcash Foundation.
