To build the next generation of blockchain infrastructure, the company has partnered with Genesis Mining Ltd., the wold’s largest cloud bitcoin mining company. Genesis is a 30% shareholder in the company and provides access to proprietary software and technology.
Hive has acquired a state-of-the-art blockchain infrastructure facility in Iceland, assembled with cutting-edge computing components and design.
Currently, that facility is mining coins other than Bitcoin, mainly Ethereum, the next largest digital currency on the market. Furthermore, the company has options to acquire other facilities from Genesis in Iceland and Sweden.
